Travelling the globe
& sharing all my tips
I’ve created this online space to help everyday humans make the most out of their travels. On my site you’ll find helpful resources for making bookings, places to go and all the in-between tips I have - speaking from experience.
The world is filled with endless beauty and there are so many adventures to be had. It's my mission to explore every corner of this incredible planet. Join me on my journey across roads, seas, and skies.
Hey, I'm Vic
Young kiwi girl with a love for worldwide adventure and experiencing different cultures. I’m not quite sure there's any better feeling than jetting off with your passport in one hand and a companion in the other, to explore all the incredible areas this world has to offer, with no return flight booked home. Yup - that’s what I recently did and it was one of the best decisions, if not THE best decision of my life to date. I was away with my now, Fiancé 😉 for 7 months exploring all around Europe and South East Asia. It changed my life forever. I grew, learnt, loved and explored and am so grateful for the experience!
& I caught the travel bug
Where do you want to go? Maybe you’re backpacking around the world. Or, maybe you’re going away for a week because you just desperately need a break from work (totally relatable) either way, figure out your destination first. If you need some inspo, check out some of my blog posts, where I share all about my own experiences in over 25 destinations all over the world
A common question I get asked is how to plan a trip and where to start. I find travel blogs super useful and I use them a lot myself when planning. That is actually what inspired me to start this online space. I’m consistently asked all things travel, but didn’t have anywhere to refer to my friends and family where I had all the answers tucked up in one place for them. So in saying that, I trust all my blog’s will give you an abundance of helpful information and save you time when planning your own travels!
This is my personal procedure for planning any trip I go on, to get the most out of my time while I'm there. I first open a Google Doc to keep all the information in one place, then I just take to google and begin my research.
Once I’ve compiled my list of things to do, places to stay and restaurants to try etc I enter them into the map. I find this step saves me a lot of time once I’m actually travelling, the reason being is it's very useful to know where everything is placed on the map in comparison to each other. When booking accommodation I find somewhere centrally located around the attractions I’d like to visit and it also helps planning out my days. I always try to plan day by day, at least roughly, so I’m not travelling all over the place from one side to the other.
TikTok is another very useful platform when trying to find things to do or places to eat, so I always use that as a research tool as well. If you'd like to check out my TikTok for tips, it's linked here. (vicmurray2)
